 Md. Eunusur Rahman​, Chairman

Md. Eunusur Rahman is a retired officer of Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration cadre) . Prior to joining DSE, Mr. Rahman worked as Senior Policy Advisor of a UK–DFID (Department for International Development)­ funded project titled ‘Business Finance for poor in Bangladesh (BFP-B).

Md. Eunusur Rahman was born in Barishal district in 1959. He secured second and third positions in S.S.C and H.S.C examination held under Jessore Education Board in 1975 and 1977 respectively. He obtained his graduation with (Honors) and Master’s in Accounting from the University of Dhaka in 1980 and 1981 respectively securing First Class in both the examinations. He had a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Management from “International Institute of Public Administration (IIAP)”, Paris, France. He also obtained MBA degree from Southern Cross University of Australia.

He joined Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Administration cadre in June 1983 and since then served more than 35 years in different positions of local and central administration and in autonomous bodies of Bangladesh Government. He served as Senior Secretary, Financial Institutions Division (FID), Ministry of Finance (MOF); Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Chairman (in the rank of Secretary to the government) of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation. He also served as Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration & Ministry of Home Affairs and Joint Secretary of the Economic Relations Division (ERD) of the Ministry of Finance. As a member of the BCS Administration cadre, Mr. Rahman served in the field Administration as the Divisional Commissioner of Khulna Division and Deputy Commissioner (DC) of two administrative districts namely Bharamanbaria and Moulavibazar.

Mr. Rahman is very much inclined to teaching. He has still been serving as adjunct faculty of private university and professional organisation. He also served different honorary duties and responsibilities assigned by Government. He was involved in restructuring of Sonali Bank (UK) Ltd. He also served as Deputy Chairman of UBICO, Chairperson, Audit Committee of Board of Directors of Bangladesh Bank and Director of Bangladesh Bank.
